Our interactive team designed and produced a room-scale (8m x4.5m) interactive augmented reality map for this innovative museum. Using iPads in conjunction with the bespoke app created for Historic Scotland, visitors to the museum are able to interact with the large map and quickly access the 51 most historic buildings in Scotland, viewing 3D models of them along with history on their usage, construction materials and interesting press articles. Geology and even the weather are accessible, all appearing in augmented reality and overlaid onto the physical room-scale map.
