ISH Expo in Frankfurt, leading trade fair

A part of the job that the team at Studio Liddell love is attending trade shows to see the work we produce for our clients come to life – and the recent ISH expo in Frankfurt is no exception.

As the world’s biggest exhibition for the combination of water and energy, ISH embraces all aspects of future-oriented building solutions, from sustainable sanitation solutions to energy efficient heating technologies. Established for over 50 years and housing some 2,400 exhibitors across five days, ISH is undoubtedly the must-attend event for some of the leading names in the industry.

Studio Liddell’s world-class technical team and department have a wealth of experience in visualising sanitary fittings and we’ve producing materials for clients including Grohe and Geberit to use at ISH Expo for several years.

We’ve had two teams working on imagery and animation for both companies for this year’s event, ensuring that their materials worked hard – down to the very last detail.

For us creative types, nothing beats the buzz of walking around an exhibition hall and seeing the Imagery, Animation and Interactive content we’ve put together doing itsjob and playing an integral role in promoting our client’s products.

It was fantastic to visit both Grohe and Geberit’s stands at ISH and see the weeks of hard work come to fruition. The feedback from both companies was extremely positive, praising not only our work but our delivery of the projects within tight timescales – and most importantly, their customers were impressed, too!

At Studio Liddell we firmly believe that the devil is in the detail – and yet how can you really showcase something that isn’t yet ready to be filmed or photographed?


It takes a special kind of talent to visualise the technical workings of complex shower systems –  and this is where we come into our own.  Detail means everything to us and when you are dealing with the leading names in the industry, at the top event, it has to be spot on. This is certainly something that was achieved at ISH Expo.

The event also gave us the opportunity to demonstrate a bathroom configurator with a difference – a VR experience within a pop up virtual show room. We’ve developed a pod which can be branded and delivered to any location, from airports and shopping malls, to showrooms, where space is of a premium.  We reckon it’s set to be a game changer in the retail sector and we had an overwhelming response to the show.

In conclusion, ISH is a must see for anyone working in this sector – but with five days to get through, we’d advise you takeyour walking shoes!
