Alongside our client and commissioned work, Studio Liddell runs an ongoing innovation track - exploring new tools, formats, and technologies that could shape the future of storytelling.

This includes:

• • Real-time and immersive storytelling techniques
• • New formats for interactive and cross-platform entertainment

A Note on AI

AI is one of several tools we're actively researching — not something we apply by default. Where it genuinely improves a project's craft, speed, or ambition, we use it thoughtfully and already we clearly see that AI tools offer the best results when combined with traditional creative understanding and knowledge. Most of our work remains built the traditional way, by our animators, designers, and developers.

Our Vision

We believe the best new IP comes from combining proven creative craft with a willingness to experiment. This lab is where those experiments live. Our ideas are designed to be adaptable for the multi-platform we live in - platform agnostic - we experiment, explore and learn how storytelling and gameplay can work in many different formats. Some work and some don't but this sandbox is a fun place to play!
