
How to turn on Shader Model 6 (SM6) in Unreal Engine on Windows, you can:
- Download the latest NVIDIA driver for your GPU card type and install it.
- Download the latest version of the Unreal Engine.
- Open your Unreal Engine project.
- Goto Edit → Project Settings and search for SM6 or go to Platforms then Widnows and enable SM6 under "D8D12 Tageted Shader Formate"
- Restart the engine.

- Set both to Lumen.
- Restart the engine.
Lumen is a real-time system for global illumination and reflections that delivers dynamic indirect lighting and reflections. It is automatically enabled in new projects by default.
How to install a plugin into your Unreal Engine project, you can:
- From Epic launcher click on Library tab and click on your project.
- After your project loads in the engine, go to Edit → Plugins and search for the plugin and enable it.
- Restart the engine.
If you want to check if your plugin is installed, go to Edit → Plugins and search for the plugin.
